How does weather affect traffic in your street? Have you noticed seasonal patterns, like more cyclists in summer, different speeds in rain, changed behaviour in winter?
As we’re well into (and hopefully soon to leave) winter, which I know has been odd here in Europe and extreme in North America, I’m betting we have some experiences to share. Let’s compare notes across different climates!
For example, here are the average patterns from my device in London, for the last two weeks compared to the last two weeks in July
Vehicle traffic is pretty much identical, with a few more Heavy Vehicles, but bike and pedestrian numbers (per hour) are about half, which is not surprising (as it has also been wet).
I wonder how different yours might be if you are in a country that actually gets real winter?
