S2 display / backlight - how to switch it off?

Hi *,

I thought, that the display of the S2 would switch itself off after some time (like a screensaver). Is it possible to switch it (or only the backlight) off? Otherwise I cannot use the window in my sleeping room for counting. I like the inconspicuous character of the raspi solution. For me it would be sufficient if the display “wakes up” when I press the button.

Kind regards,
Toens

Yes, you can. If you press and hold the button on the device for around 5 seconds, it will turn the screen off.

Consider this to make the feature more discoverable.
In the rotation of screens, include an “off”.
Most people seeing an off screen will press the screen or the button, in which case it would just wake up.

Hello @r68telraam

According to me for switch off the backlight. You can Look for a power button on the display and press and hold it to turn off the display and Navigate to the settings menu on your S2 device and find the option to adjust the backlight brightness or turn it off completely.
Hope this will help you
