Questions about Telraam S2

For a university project, we need to study if Telramm’s measurements correspond to our manual measurements.

For the moment, this is not the case, but is this due to our lack of knowledge about the product?

We have studied your website from A to Z. We have some questions about the device’s measurement of the transition from ‘day’ to ‘night’ mode. Is this measured in lux?

Also, what is the blind spot below an S2 sensor installed on a window?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I guess the answer is “yes”, but not directly. We are not measuring the light levels, but monitoring the automatic settings on the camera. When light is low, the camera adjusts the gain and aperture to maximise the light, and at this point we can use these triggers to switch from day mode to night mode. This way it is adjusted according to the local situation, not a predetermined boundary at a certain time,

You can read more about Night mode here:

I’m not sure if it has been explicitly written for the Indoor version, but the answer is 10 degrees as the absolute minimum. We do mention this for the Outdoor version which works in a very similar way:

The Telraam S2 Outdoor can’t see straight down, it has a 10° angle blind spot. So don’t place it too close to the area you want to monitor. Example: If installed at 3 meters high, keep it at least 0.5 meters back from the start of the monitoring area. An overly top-down view can also lead to missed detections, therefore we also suggest keeping a distance of minimum 2 meters.
