Keyboard disappears when you open a reply or a new message

my iPad A2270 (8th generation) with iOS 15.7 - the keyboard disappears when you open a reply or a new message - see screenshot above
this is pretty annoying - i have cleaned cashes - restarted my iPad - but no improvement
does annyone recognise this ‘quick disappearance’ or knows a sollution to recover the keyboard?

Update:
the disappearance is only happening in the iOS Safari browser

UPDATE:
with the update in iOS to 16.1 on my iPad the disappearing keyboard is gone - in other words - the keyboard is working fine again

perhaps i can close this subject - lets see :flashlight:

I have been researching this and had not come across any other reports, so I was wondering how to reproduce it. Sadly I do not own an ipad.

I’m glad to hear it is not happening, but please let me know if you (or anyone else) experiences this
