It strikes me that a useful feature would be for devices to automatically flag to their host abrupt changes in counts that could potentially be erroneus. For an example see attached screenshot:
You can see that something seems to have happened on the night of Jul 31. Heavy vehicles disappear completely, car counts drop (not visible in this grab is that one direction of car dissappears completely). Night counts would appear to be (more) representative, insofar as there is an apparent dislocation in count numbers as counts switch to being binned as Night.
This type of abrupt change from a longer term average is on the face of it easy to spot, so I’m thinking it could be automated and reported in a warning email/notifcation.
In this particular case, I actually went looking for the device (so I could potentially knock on a door…) but I couldn’t spot it (bad sign…?)
If I flag the device location ID to the Telraam team could they contact the host? I wonder if it has simply slipped from it’s window mount…
It appears that there might be Telraam hosts that, unlike me, aren’t obsessively checking the data coming from their device!
