Flagging miscounting devices

It strikes me that a useful feature would be for devices to automatically flag to their host abrupt changes in counts that could potentially be erroneus. For an example see attached screenshot:

You can see that something seems to have happened on the night of Jul 31. Heavy vehicles disappear completely, car counts drop (not visible in this grab is that one direction of car dissappears completely). Night counts would appear to be (more) representative, insofar as there is an apparent dislocation in count numbers as counts switch to being binned as Night.

This type of abrupt change from a longer term average is on the face of it easy to spot, so I’m thinking it could be automated and reported in a warning email/notifcation.
In this particular case, I actually went looking for the device (so I could potentially knock on a door…) but I couldn’t spot it (bad sign…?)
If I flag the device location ID to the Telraam team could they contact the host? I wonder if it has simply slipped from it’s window mount…
It appears that there might be Telraam hosts that, unlike me, aren’t obsessively checking the data coming from their device! :joy:
Best wishes,
Danny

This is something we have talked about internally and is on our longer term roadmap but we’re a small team.

The data here is quite interesting and flagging it to support would definitely help. Can you share the segment ID and we can look into it? It is entirely possible that something has happened on the street (e.g. no large vehicles allowed) rather than be a data issue?
