We’re excited to share some updates and changes aimed at enhancing your experience with our platform. From streamlined subscription plans to new data access controls, here’s what’s new:
Updated Subscription Plans
We’ve simplified our subscription options. You can now choose from three plans: Free, Premium, or Network. We’ve removed the Lite/“Data” plan because it was confusing, so you’ll see only the options that best meet your needs on our updated pricing page.
Data Access Enhancements
Understanding data access is crucial, so we’ve redesigned the Data page to clearly explain the two types of data available: Basic and Advanced. Access to these depends on your subscription level and the plan chosen by your city. The new layout provides easy guidance on what’s included in each data tier and where to find it. In terms of data itself, it’s still very much the same, but we hope this redesigned page provides a better understanding of the data Telraam provides, and the difference between basic and advanced data.
Data Range Adjustments for Public Location Pages
To ensure fair use and manage server costs, we’ve adjusted the data range visible on public location pages from three months down to 14 days. We had already reduced the selectable range from 1 year to 3 months, to avoid server load and time-outs, but that didn’t fix it, so we opted for a more substantial restructuring. This change allows us to provide efficient access to data across the platform while ensuring sustainability.
But don’t worry! If you have a personal device connected to Telraam, you still have access to the full three-month data range through your personal dashboard. This means you can continue to monitor and analyze your data without interruption. Also, API-access is unchanged.
Redesigned Personal Dashboard Report View
To provide a more seamless experience, we’ve updated the personal dashboard report view. Users can now access a view with the same graphs seen on public pages but with a three-month range flexibility. Find this feature under the ‘My Segment’ tab in your dashboard. Additionally, navigation within the dashboard has been updated for a more intuitive experience.
Enhanced Privacy Controls for Network-Level Users
For our Network users, we’ve introduced options to keep traffic counting data private, providing better privacy control over data. Here’s how it works:
- Toggle Installation Privacy: Easily toggle between public and private for any installation.
- Default Network Privacy Setting: In network settings, choose a default private setting for all new installations, ensuring they remain private from the start.
- Private Setup Option: During remote installations, users can check “Prefer to keep the data private,” keeping data private from the installation point onward.
Please note: Private installations will remain private from the time they’re marked as such. Previously public data will still be visible before this change.
Ready to Explore the Updates?
You can explore these changes in www.telraam.net by logging in and accessing your personal dashboard. These updates were set live earlier this week. We also have a new blogpost live. In this post, we share some more thoughts, insights and tinkering on data. We’re very open for grass roots input from citizens, (potential) clients, users or tech enthusiasts, so if you have any questions or feedback at all, feel free to reach out.
Happy exploring!
