I’m encountering a data completeness issue with the 15-minute resolution exports compared to 60-minute exports for the same locations and time periods. The issue has impacted segments 9000007290 and 9000007489 (rue de Terrebonne). Both segments have an active data subscription that allows export of 15-minute resolution tables (I am using the Dashboard > Export route to generate .xlsx files).
The Issue is that the 15-minute resolution Excel exports are missing data for multiple date ranges, while the 60-minute exports contain complete data for the same periods.
Observations:
- When comparing daily totals from both resolutions, the correlation is 0.999 when data is present in both, indicating the 15-minute data is accurate but incomplete
- Specific date ranges are consistently missing from 15-minute exports (reproducible across multiple downloads)
- Example: March 1-3, 2025 shows 13 intervals per time window but zero counts in 15-minute data, while 60-minute data shows normal traffic counts for the same dates
- The issue affects both segments, covering date segments in the spring that are not identical.
Impact:
- The impact is that approximately 7-10% of days have missing or corrupted data in the 15-minute exports, making them unreliable for analysis. I am reconciling our Telraam data with external traffic studies using periods starting on the half or quarter hour, hence the requirement for 15-minute data.
- Test performed: Re-downloading the same 15-minute exports produces identical files (verified via checksums), confirming this is a server-side export issue, not a download problem.
Could someone please help investigate why the 15-minute resolution export process is omitting data for certain date ranges? The 60-minute data does not appear to be impacted by this issue for either segment.
